Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Cable Harness Engineer for Voyager Lunar Systems to design and validate wiring harnesses for lunar landers and spaceflight hardware. The role is hybrid, reporting to the Electronic Systems Manager within Voyager Lunar Systems.

You will define design parameters, select connectors, perform analyses, and create 2D schematics for manufacture and vendors. A strong background in aerospace harnessing is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of wiring harness design experience for military, aerospace, or space applications.
• Experience manufacturing wiring harnesses for military, aerospace, or space applications.
• A.A. or B.S. or related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design wiring harness assemblies for lunar landers and other flight vehicles that will survive harsh environmental conditions.
• Ensure compatibility of all wiring harness components.
• Perform bend radii checks, voltage drop analysis, and harness mass calculations.
• Create 2D harness schematics and harness layout drawings for in-house team or external vendors.
• Connector selection, including Mil-Spec and high-reliability interconnect types.
• Define design parameters including twisting, shielding, and gauge selection.
