Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Cable Harness Engineer for Voyager Lunar Systems to design wiring harness assemblies for lunar landers and other flight vehicles.

The role requires applying Mil-Spec interconnects, performing bend radii checks, voltage drop analysis, and collaborating with in-house and external teams to deliver robust harness solutions under strict environmental and ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of wiring harness design experience for military, aerospace, or space applications.
• Prior experience manufacturing wiring harnesses for military, aerospace, or space applications.
• A.A. or B.S. or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design wiring harness assemblies for lunar landers and other flight vehicles that will survive harsh environmental conditions.
• Ensure compatibility of all wiring harness components.
• Perform bend radii checks, voltage drop analysis, and harness mass calculations.
• Execute parts standardization, and resolve issues with connectors, backshells, shielding and related parts.
• Connector selection, including Mil-Spec and high-reliability interconnect types.
• Define design parameters including twisting, shielding, and gauge selection.
• Create 2D harness schematics and harness layout drawings for in-house or external manufacturing teams.
