Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing, Ops & Assembly Manager to lead the Assembly & Integration team at Lunar Plant 1. You will drive complex production operations, mentor technicians, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to improve workflows and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership, budget management, and readiness to scale capabilities for new product introductions in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience, with at least 5 years in a people management role.
• Experience leading complex production operations — precision assembly, integration, or equivalent in a high-consequence setting.
• Proven ability to stand up a new production work center or manufacturing line.
• Able to manage a production schedule and drive daily execution in a high-complexity, low-volume environment.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize assembly and integration operations for efficiency, precision, and quality.
• Develop and execute integration plans and schedules to meet milestones.
• Mentor teams and foster teamwork, transparency, and information sharing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to resolve challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement in integration processes, tooling and metrics.
• Monitor performance and report to senior management with clear impact on program success.
• Ensure safety, regulatory and company standards compliance, and address issues with urgency.
• Manage budget and resource allocation for assembly and integration activities.
• Support new product introductions and scale-up of integration capabilities.
• Evaluate inputs and program criteria to make informed, quality-driven decisions.
