Blue Origin is seeking a highly experienced Level 5 Integrated Stack Lead Systems Engineer to own end-to-end configurations for lunar vehicle stacks within the Lunar Permanence program. You will lead systems engineering, documentation, and verification activities across multiple vehicle interfaces, ensuring traceability and readiness for mission objectives.

The role requires deep technical depth, leadership maturity, and the ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in systems engineering in aerospace/defense or related industries.
• Experience as a technical lead for multi-element or multi-vehicle integration.
• Hands-on configuration management of complex vehicle stacks.
• Proficiency with CREO Parametric or equivalent CAD tool.
• Experience mapping requirements to test/analysis methods.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and stack assembly.
• Strong ICD development and management.
• Ability to drive technical decisions across large teams.
• Excellent technical communication to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority and systems engineering lead for all integrated stack configurations within the Lunar Permanence program.
• Own the definition, documentation, and configuration management of all Boots stack configurations, ensuring accuracy and traceability across all program phases.
• Develop and maintain integrated stack requirements, ensuring they are properly allocated, tracked, and baselined in Jama Connect.
• Partner with the I&T Lead to develop and maintain a verification approach for integrated stack requirements, with defined verification methods.
• Review and approve ICDs and ensure interface definitions are current and reflected in CAD/CREO models.
• Interrogate CREO Parametric models to evaluate stack configurations and support design trades.
• Lead configuration-level trade studies to evaluate design changes across stack variants.
• Identify and track integration risks and drive mitigation strategies across teams.
• Collaborate with vehicle element leads to ensure stack performance meets mission requirements.
• Represent the integrated stack in SRR/PDR/CDR and I&T readiness reviews.
• Mentor junior systems engineers on stack integration principles and verification planning.
• Drive technical consensus on integrated stack decisions, including change dispositions.
