Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team. You will establish, maintain, and improve quality system processes for products in development and production, supporting AS9100 compliance.

The role requires collaboration with manufacturing and engineering, audits, design reviews, and continuous quality improvements to support safe, reliable space systems. On-site with shift flexibility to align with business needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years' proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs.
• Ability to support manufacturing schedules and overtime on as needed basis.
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve quality and manufacturability of new designs.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.
