Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an MK1 Lunar Lander Thermal & Fluids Integrator to define and manage the integrated thermal and fluid system requirements, interfaces, and test scope across the vehicle lifecycle. You will lead verification, validation, and leak budgets, ensuring margins are met and hardware operates within thermal limits.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in spacecraft thermal/fluid systems, strong analysis skills, and experience with cryogenic components and integrated testing. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with a focus on thermal and fluid systems for spacecraft.
• Strong understanding of integrated thermal and fluid spacecraft systems including active and passive thermal control.
• Experience with thermal and fluid analysis and model anchoring and validation.
• Knowledge of spacecraft fluid and thermal components including cryogenic tanks, accumulators, valves, regulators, fittings and heaters.
• Experience with interface definition and management across complex spacecraft systems.
• Experience planning, reviewing, and supporting execution of integrated tests on spacecraft.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain integrated vehicle-level thermal and fluid system requirements and lead their verification and validation.
• Define and manage ICDs across vehicle subsystems.
• Own and maintain the vehicle leak budget and ensure all contributions are tracked.
• Be the vehicle level component temperature limits owner and ensure testing as required.
• Define design parameters related to integrated thermal and fluid systems.
• Define test scope and success criteria for pressurized fluid systems across the vehicle.
• Own or support vehicle test scope for integrated tests involving thermal and fluid systems.
• Define test objectives and success criteria in matrices linked to requirements.
• Review test procedures for pressurized cryogenic/non-cryogenic fluid systems and support test execution.
• Review/test data to assess performance and anchor analytical models.
• Investigate root causes and disposition non-conformances related to thermal/fluid systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, dependencies, and resources.
