Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Thermal Engineer for the MK1 Lunar Lander to perform component, vehicle, and mission thermal analyses from launch to cis-lunar space and the lunar surface. You will collect inputs, build Thermal Desktop models, create cases, and publish reports to inform design decisions.

Qualifications include a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 2+ years in thermal engineering, familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, and strong written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience.
• Experience in thermal and fluid design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint.

Responsibilities

• Collect analysis inputs from stakeholders and responsible engineers.
• Develop new or modified thermal analysis models to represent vehicle configuration.
• Create analysis cases to evaluate thermal performance in worst-case conditions.
• Analyze component and assembly thermal performance using various techniques.
• Post process analysis results to draw engineering conclusions.
• Publish analysis reports to support engineering decisions.
• Generate and present design review content to partners and customers.
