Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Lunar Data Analytics group, including the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) and ShadowCam Science Operations Center. You will produce high‑resolution terrain models, assist science teams with data processing, and develop tools for data analysis.

Strong programming and remote sensing knowledge are encouraged, with collaboration across campuses and outreach involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–5 years of professional experience.
• Basic knowledge of remote sensing techniques and data.
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, bash, R, Matlab).
• Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience performing or aiding with research and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-resolution digital terrain models of the lunar surface using appropriate software.
• Assist LROC and ShadowCam science teams with data processing tasks to advance data production and research.
• Maintain and develop new tools and procedures for data processing and analysis.
• Distill information from remotely sensed planetary images for research papers and talks.
• Support education and public outreach efforts through campus and virtual events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator or SCIENCE Operations Center Manager.
