Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection, loading, and material staging. You will help maintain yard inventory and safety, and training for forklift operation will be provided.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a friendly, team-oriented person who works well outdoors in all conditions. Benefits include health and life insurance, disability, 401(k), and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts and keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Equipment used includes a forklift and training will be provided to attain certification.
