Job summary

Charles Kirchner And Son Inc is seeking a CDL Delivery Driver for Building Materials / Lumberyard. You will load and deliver lumber and building materials, operate a forklift, and maintain safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

Role requires strong communication, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Expect daily routes, shop coordination, and occasional overtime, with a competitive hourly wage based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B (or higher) CDL license is required.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain DOT Medical Certification Card (preferably Interstate).
• Clean driving record and ability to deliver without damaging materials/equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Ability to follow company processes and procedures.
• Commitment to safety culture and training requirements.
• Must complete all company training and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accurately build loads and prepare materials for deliveries in a timely manner.
• Safely operate forklift in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and team members.
• Maintain clean and organized lumberyard and storage areas.
• Handle paperwork for deliveries, inventory, and transfers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address concerns.
• Build relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
