Ganahl Lumber Company is seeking a Yard Lumberman to load and unload building materials, move items around the yard, and assist with tagging and organizing stock. The role involves using manual handling tools and equipment and following precise work orders in a fast-paced yard environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 months of related experience, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools when needed.
• Experience with material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload building materials for delivery or storage.
• Move loads to and from storage, production, and loading areas.
• Attach identifying tags to loads and materials.
• Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine tasks.
• Stack loads in sheds, storage areas, or on delivery vehicles.
• Perform general yard duties and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Follow organizational policies and safety procedures.
• Review deliveries for quality and accuracy; check accompanying documents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and work requirements.
