Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/yard operations preferred.
• Ability to read Bills of Lading and shipping reports.
• Strong communication and team leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Read Bill of Ladings and Shipping Reports.
• Maintain communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee operations to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage load building associates and commercial drivers.
• Manage daily operations of an active lumber yard including scheduling inbound/outbound shipments and resolving customer issues.
• Keep management informed of delays or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers.
• Track inventory status and supply usage.
• Schedule yard transfers as needed.
• Review vendor invoices for discrepancies.
