Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a general labor candidate to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations. The role involves moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing lumber, as well as operating staple guns and related equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate production records, ensuring proper quantities and labeling, and contributing to a clean work area.

Qualifications

• Basic math ability is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products according to instructions.
• Stack finished products per bundle sizes or customer requirements.
• Label material by type, size, and count.
• Apply tags before/after treating/production.
• Use staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Ensure correct quantities and labeling before leaving work area.
• Maintain inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
