Job summary

6AM City, LLC in Minnesota is hiring Yard Personnel for loading and unloading materials at the lumber yard. You will assist customers, pull orders, and load items onto delivery trucks, ensuring correct quantities and safe handling. This role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, staying on the move, and following safety rules.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with occasional overtime. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, disability & life insurance, and a retirement

Qualifications

Yard Personnel - Loading & Unloading Materials for Customer on Lumber Yard

1. Assist customers in the yard to pull orders and load onto vehicles.
2. The role often requires lifting heavy items and being on the move for extended periods. You must be able to lift 50 pounds, anything over 50 pounds should be done with another team members’ assistance to ensure safety and the materials are not damaged.
3. Check the quantity and quality of materials on pick/dispatch tickets to ensure they match the order specifications.
4. Provide excellent customer service skills and ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Ensure all safety measures are followed while lifting and carrying materials.
6. Keep track of paperwork, return proper paperwork to customer to be checked out at the gate.
7. Address any issues that arise in a professional manner.
8. Keep all buildings and grounds clean and materials in a neat order and remove debris as needed.
9. Learn the materials and the locations of materials to efficiently assist customers.
10. Help load materials on delivery truck and deliver to job sites and unload materials.

Work hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (occasional overtime may be needed as required)

Pay Range: $16.50 p/hr. - $18.00 p/hr. based on experience/qualifications.
