Carter Lumber Company in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Yard Associate to assist customers with selecting and loading orders, and to pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery. You will help maintain yard inventory and keep the area organized and clean, with forklift operation training provided if needed.

This full-time role runs 6am–5pm and pays $16/hr, with benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials helpful.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Available 6am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain inventory in the Yard with cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift; training provided to obtain certification.
