Job summary

PARR, a leading homebuilding supplier, is seeking a Lumber Yard Associate to load customer vehicles with building materials and maintain yard inventory. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and safe operation of equipment in an outdoor retail setting.

Qualifications

  • OSHA certified forklift license preferred.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
  • Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of dimension lumber, panels and other building materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret picking tickets and invoices.
  • General knowledge and use of power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load customer vehicles with orders of building materials.
  • Ensure paperwork per company policy is completed.
  • Receive inventory and inspect for accuracy; deposit in designated locations.
  • Inspect stock and returns for salability; stock correctly.
  • Maintain yard cleanliness and organize product locations.
  • Participate in safety procedures and daily lift inspections.

Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Pay: $18.47 - $22.41Lumber Yard Associates are responsible for providing legendary service by safely and efficiently loading customer vehicles with building materials both by hand and on a forklift.
