Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Lumber Yard Bander to assist in stacking, wrapping, and organizing lumber outdoors. The role involves manual lifting, following safety procedures, and reliable attendance in all weather. No experience is required, but a strong work ethic is valued.

You will tag and strap lumber, assist with freight and stock, and help maintain an orderly yard. This is a physical outdoor position with ongoing duties and a need for consistent punctuality.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Enjoys outdoor work in all weather and follows safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual, with ability to show up every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wrapping lumber with metal bands to secure them properly
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other duties as required
• Show up to work every day and on time

Lumber Yard Bander sorts, racks and bands lumber according to its grade markings and size. They too handle stocks, freight and other materials.

End tagging lumber using a pneumatic staple gun weighing approximately 2-4 lbs
Strapping lumber using a battery powered ratchet weighing approximately 6-8 lbs
Stacking plywood/ lumber by hand
Wrapping lumber via assembly line style wrap line
Able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions
