Job summary

84 Lumber Company in Rolling Acres, TN is hiring a Hot Shot Puller to efficiently pull outgoing orders and stage them for shipping. This full-time warehouse role combines material handling, inventory tasks and forklift operation in a fast-paced lumber yard.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17, with standard Monday–Friday hours 7am–4pm and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
• Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight such as lumber and/or building supplies.
• Processing and restocking returns.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and caring for equipment.
• Shrink control.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Communicating delays or discrepancies to management.

The full-time Hot Shot Puller is responsible for accurately and promptly pulling outgoing and staging orders (fill-in and will-call). This is a warehouse associate position that acts as a material handler, inventory associate, and forklift operator. Other duties include:

• Loading and unloading freight such as lumber and/or building supplies.

• Shrink control.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
