Job summary

Bakers FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials and related services, is seeking a dependable saw operator to join our manufacturing team in New York. You will review work orders, set up and adjust saws, feed lumber, and ensure accurate cuts in a fast-paced environment.

Strong reading, basic math, and teamwork are essential. Training is provided, and a safety-first culture supports your growth and reliability on the job.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work order to determine cut(s) to be made.
• Adjusts saw for required cuts.
• Adjusts speed of saw and feed rolls.
• Observes automatic feeding of lumber to saw or pushes end of lumber into feed rolls.
• Stacks cut lumber after processing.
• Advises supervisor of dull saw blades.
• Other duties as assigned
