Job summary

United Treating & Distribution, LLC is seeking a full-time Plant Operator to safely operate equipment, manage inventory, and support lumber treating and shipping operations. Expect early start times, potential overtime, and some weekend work as needed.

The role involves forklift use, warehousing duties, and adherence to OSHA, DOT, and internal safety standards. Occasional travel to Muscle Shoals for training may be required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and on-site safety handling.
• Valid driver's license required; forklift certification or on-site test.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office for daily paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load/unload trailers and move materials.
• Identify, tag, pack, and bundle lumber and non-lumber items per order notes.
• Complete daily paperwork and basic computer tasks.
• Communicate equipment, product, or workflow issues to the Plant Manager.
• Follow DOT regulations during trailer inspections and transport.
