Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mill and/or wood production environment preferred.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job including climbing, pushing, kneeling, and lifting heavy items as well as standing for long periods.
• Able to work in all types of weather.
• Communicate effectively with different levels/departments within the organization.
• High school diploma is required.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws, moulders, and stack lumber off machine centers.
• Learn and follow quality and stacking standards.
• Learn to operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Assist in basic maintenance to equipment.
• Understand mill operations and production processes.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety standards and regulations.
• Attend safety and production meetings as required.
• Keep the production area clean and free of hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
