Job summary

UFP Grandview, LLC is seeking a general laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements. You will move, stack, label, tag, and secure materials, while using a staple gun and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, recording production, and keeping a clean work area. Prior lumber or manufacturing experience is preferred, and you must be 18 or older. The role is on-site and full-time.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic math is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size, and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before and after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow stacking instructions per company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
