Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Labor team member to safely handle lumber and related materials. You will verify quantities, label, stack and secure products according to customer requirements and company policy.

You will move material, assist with loading/unloading, participate in safety programs, and help maintain accurate production records in a fast-paced lumber environment. 18+ required; basic math preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move and secure lumber products and materials per instructions.
• Stack finished products according to bundle sizes or customer specs.
• Label material by type, size and count and tag before/after treating.
• Use staple gun and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Band and secure material, attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies.
• Record production on production sheets and keep area clean.
• Assist other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
