Job summary

UFP Gordon, LLC is seeking a general laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify material meets customer requirements and company expectations. The role involves moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing lumber, with responsibilities across production areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Move and secure lumber products and materials according to instructions.
  • Stack finished products according to bundle sizes or customer requirements.
  • Label material by type, size, and count.
  • Apply tags before/after treating/production.
  • Operate a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Band, bundle, and secure material; attach corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Follow stacking procedures per policy and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies.
  • Record production on production sheets.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Assist with other areas by moving material and loading/unloading carts.
  • Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required.
