Job summary

Remmey - The Pallet Company is actively seeking hard-working, self-motivated Saw Operators to join our team in Pennsylvania. You will work in a two-to-four-person crew on first shift, operating saws and helping produce pallets to meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, and inspecting finished products. Overtime may be required; benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, nine holidays, and a 401(k)

REMMEY - THE PALLET COMPANY is one of the largest manufacturers of NEW wood pallets in the Tri-State region. REMMEY owns and operates two manufacturing plants in Pennsylvania (Lehighton, PA, and Beaver Springs, PA) cutting, nailing, and delivering over 10,000 pallets daily. To complement the pallet manufacturing capacity, REMMEY recycles and repairs some of the common-size pallets and is licensed and certified to Heat Treat (HT) pallets in accordance with the IPPC-ISPM #15 International Export regulations.

Overview:

Remmey The Pallet Company is looking for hard-working, self-motivated, fast-learning candidates that want to be part of a family atmosphere company. Potential candidates will work as a team with other employees to complete products on time.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Saw operators typically work in two to four man teams.
• 1st shift hours - 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Overtime may be required.
• Monitor/inspect equipment for needed repairs.
• Maintain a clean workspace.
• Perform inspections to make sure finished product meets customer specifications.
• Adhere to Remmey safety standards at all times to ensure safe work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to operate in a team environment and communicate clearly and effectively with management and fellow team members.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of situations in an efficient manner that is fair to all.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Read and properly use a tape measure.
• Read and understand basic production prints.
• Manual, repetitive lifting is a requirement of this position, and it can be physically demanding on a day-to-day basis.

Benefits

• Saw operators are paid with a base pay, attendance bonus, a sawing piece rate bonus, and typically earn between $22 to $26+/hour based on performance.
