UFP Industries is seeking a General Labor role in Jeffersonville, IN to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

Responsibilities include moving, stacking, labeling, tagging, and securing materials, plus maintaining inventory, recording production, and supporting various areas as needed. Emphasis on safety and teamwork throughout production processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsabilités

• Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Label material based on type, size and count.
• Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
• Use a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
• Band, bundle and secure material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements.
• Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report problems or discrepancies to supervisor.
• Record production on production sheets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other work areas by moving material and loading/unloading material carts.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
