Job summary

UFP Industries in Dallas is seeking a general laborer to safely handle lumber products and verify materials meet customer requirements and company expectations.

You will move, stack, label, and package lumber, operate staple gun, maintain inventory, keep areas clean, and participate in safety programs. No prior experience required; a high school diploma is preferred and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • No minimum experience required; manufacturing or lumber experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Move and secure lumber products and materials according to instructions.
  • Stack finished products by bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
  • Label material by type, size, and count.
  • Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production.
  • Operate a staple gun and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Band, bundle and secure material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
  • Follow stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
  • Ensure correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tags and report discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Record production on production sheets.
