Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods in Loudonville, OH is hiring for a Lumber Handler I to handle, sort, and stack rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade in open warehouses. The role requires safety-minded teamwork and the ability to work at a fast pace in a production environment.

Responsibilities include moving lumber to the lumber cart, banding packs, maintaining clean work areas, and completing basic paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must be safety conscious and work well in a team environment.
• Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record per Policy.
• Work at a fast pace and be an oriented team player.
• Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
• Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Always wear personal protective equipment.

Lumber Handler I

Background: Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer serving furniture, cabinets, molding, and millwork segments worldwide. We operate manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Lumber Handler I.

Handling, sorting, and stacking rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade

• Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean
• Physical ability to safely transfer lumber from the production line to the lumber cart.
• Banding runners to lumber packs.
• Keeping work areas safe and clean.
• Basic paperwork knowledge

Work Schedules

• Four 10-hour shifts 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday
