Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods in Loudonville, Ohio is seeking a Lumber Handler I to support our lumber production operations. The role involves handling, sorting, and stacking rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade, and working in open warehouses while keeping areas safe and clean.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED (or be 18+). The schedule features four 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Mon–Thu).

Qualifications

• High school or GED equivalent, or 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Handling, sorting, and stacking rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade
• Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean
• Physical ability to safely transfer lumber from the production line to the lumber cart.
• Banding runners to lumber packs.
• Keeping work areas safe and clean.
• Basic paperwork knowledge
