Job summary

Northwest Hardwoods is seeking a Lumber Handler to keep lumber moving through the facility. You will work closely with the manufacturing team to load/unload trucks, stack lumber, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Ideal candidates are hardworking, dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable with physical, hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities for cross-training and career growth are offered as part of a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Available to work Monday - Thursday, 1:30pm - 12:00am.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds when sorting product by size, species, and grade.
  • Lock Out Tag Out procedure familiarity per OSHA within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload lumber trucks
  • Stack wood neatly into carts or storage bays
  • Keep the warehouse and conveyors clean and clear of debris
  • Participate in job rotations and cross-training
  • Ensure sawmill debris is removed using hand tools and wheel barrows
  • Work safely and follow NWH safety rules and procedures

At Northwest Hardwoods (NWH), you’ll play an important role in keeping our global supply chain moving. As a Lumber Handler, work closely with the manufacturing team to keep lumber moving through the facility, ensure products are properly handled and organized, and help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Requirements
What You’ll Do:
  • Load and unload lumber trucks

What You Bring:

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys hands-on, physically active work.

Required:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Available to work Monday - Thursday, 1:30pm - 12:00am
  • Safely and successfully perform Lock Out Tag Out procedure by OSHA within 90 days of employment
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in lumber manufacturing, lumber material handling is a plus, but not required
