## Lumber GraderApply: Thornton, CA: Full time: Posted 2 Days Ago: R22648**Job Summary**Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.**Principle Duties and Responsibilities*** Grades and sorts of softwood SPF and SYP in accordance with third party TP / SPIB inspection requirements* Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructions* Stacks finished products according to predetermine bundle sizes and/or customer requirements* Labels material based on type, size and count, and following specifications* Applies individual tags to material before/after treating/production* Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment* Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks* Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements* Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, labeled before leaving the work area* Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor* Records production on production sheets* Maintains a clean and organized work area* Assist other work areas moving material, loading and unloading material carts* Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings**Qualifications*** High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.* Certification in lumber grading preferred, however non-certified graders will be considered if already in process of training and can be certified* No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred* 1-2 years of related experience in lumber grading is preferred* Working knowledge of basic math preferred* Must be at least 18 years of age.### **Compensation & Benefit Information**:**Hourly/Salary Pay Range:** $20.00 - $22.00 an hour dependent on experience\\*\\*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living**Bonus/Incentive Pay:**Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.
