Job summary

Big Tex Trailers in Texas is seeking a Finisher 1 in the Flooring Department to prepare lumber flooring components for trailer production. You will measure, mark, saw, cut, and drill lumber according to production specs, operating saws and drills safely.

You will inspect materials for defects, organize inventory, perform any required rework, maintain PPE, and communicate shortages or quality concerns to leadership while helping the team meet daily production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Read a tape measure and perform basic maths.
• Follow work instructions and production specs.
• Experience in manufacturing or woodworking preferred but not required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, saw, cut, and drill lumber flooring materials per specs.
• Operate saws, drills, and equipment safely.
• Inspect lumber for defects before release.
• Organize and transport flooring materials to production areas.
• Perform rework to meet quality standards.
• Maintain PPE and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Communicate shortages or issues to leadership.
