Description

Position Summary: The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using both machine and manual cleaning methods. This role also ensures the dishwashing area remains clean, safe, and sanitary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a team environment
• Sort, rinse, and load dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils into the dish machine
• Sort and stack clean dishes, transport them to storage or prep areas, rewash soiled items as needed
• Change dishwater hourly in the dish machine
• Hand-wash pots, pans, and trays
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster
• Set up and break down dishwashing area
• Clean and roll/unroll mats
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Sweep and mop floors
• Assemble/disassemble dish machine
• Clean exterior areas and trash around the restaurant
• Perform general cleaning of the restaurant and restrooms as directed
• Wipe spills to keep floors dry
• Notify management of any safety or equipment issues
• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene standards
• Display integrity and honesty in all work aspects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands & Work Environment
