Job summary

thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies in the United States is seeking a maintenance technician to perform plant walk-throughs, top off machine oil and coolants, and respond to oil-fill requests.

The role includes preventative maintenance on filters and hydraulic units, leak checks, and tracking oil room inventory, with responsibilities covering the operation of vacuum and oil trucks and sampling oil for contamination.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Experience servicing heavy equipment is required or preferred.
• Experience with lube and coolant systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant walk-throughs and top off machine oil and coolants.
• Respond to maintenance work orders for oil fills.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machine filters and related components.
• Conduct routine checks for oil leaks and necessary repairs.
• Maintain oil room inventory and track fluids.
• Operate vacuum and oil trucks as needed.
• Collect oil samples for contamination checks and document results.

Your responsibilities

• Plant walk-through to top off machine oil and coolants
• Respond to maintenance work order requests for oil fills
• Perform preventative maintenance related to machine filters
• Routine checks for oil leaks and needed repairs pertaining to oil/coolant
• Preventative maintenance such as changing out fluids, filters and clearing hydraulic units
• Track conductivity and DI water; check PH levels of water and adjust accordingly
• Track inventory of oil room
• Operate and maintain vacuum truck and oil truck
• Collect oil samples and send out for contamination check
• Document completed work orders and daily log of work

Your profile

Education/Credentials/Certifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Length of Experience

• At least one year of experience servicing heavy equipment
• Previous lube and coolant experience preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
