Job summary

Poway Honda in Poway, CA is seeking a Lube Technician to perform oil changes and lubrication services quickly and thoroughly, under the direction of the Production Foreman. You will inspect the customer’s car and communicate needed repairs with the Service Advisor.

We offer $20.00 per hour, a comprehensive benefits package, paid training, and a clear path for career growth within the company. Schedule is full-time, Monday through Saturday with Sundays off, and extensive training to develop

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks including background, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform all automotive lubrication services (oil changes, topping off fluids, etc).
• Inspect the customer’s car and refer repairs to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment and keep the vehicle clean.
• Receive repair order and service lift as directed.
• Lubricate the car and identify other repair needs while checking equipment for proper operation.

Job Description

The Lube Technician will be responsible for lubricating cars in a quick, yet thorough manner, and for carrying out his responsibilities through coordination with the Production Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all automotive lubrication services (oil changes, topping off fluids, etc)
• Perform thorough check of customer’s car (i.e., battery, lights, tires), referring all needed repairs and preventive maintenance to Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain all lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair order from either the Service Salesman or the Production Foreman and proceed to service lift.
• Lubricate entire car while looking for other items which may need repair.
• Ensure that the customer’s car is kept clean.
• Make certain all equipment is in proper working order, especially the lifts.
• Use adequate, but not excessive, amounts of materials and supplies.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred

• 1+ years of Automotive Service Technician experience (or Tire/Oil Change).
• ASE Certification and/or trade school certification.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Honda/Acura (or multi) brand experience.
• Strong work ethic and thrive in fast paced environment.
• Ability to follow directions, willingness to learn, and mentor teammates.
• Respect for teammates and positive outlook.
