Job summary

Steven Automotive Group in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a motivated Lube Technician to join our Service Department. Perform routine maintenance with focus on safety and quality, and contribute to efficient, high-quality service in a fast-paced shop environment.

All technicians are eligible for a production bonus paid at time and one-half based on productivity. The ideal candidate is hardworking, eager to learn, and committed to delivering workmanship while maintaining productivity in a busy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous automotive maintenance or lube technician experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Own basic hand tools or be willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications.
• Rotate and balance tires.
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections.
• Inspect and top off all vehicle fluids.
• Check tire pressure, battery condition, belts, hoses, filters, and other maintenance items.
• Replace air filters, cabin filters, windshield wiper blades, and other routine maintenance components.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and inspection documentation.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all manufacturer procedures and dealership safety policies.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and shop operations as needed.
• Deliver quality workmanship while maintaining productivity standards.
