Job description

Job Title: Lube Technician - Oil Change

Join us at ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac as a Full-Time Lubrication Technician in our Service Department located in Ballwin, MO. This role involves replacing oil/air filters, lubricating moving parts, and performing routine maintenance on tires and batteries. Our Service Helpers are union members with weekly pay, full benefits, and a professional work environment. Candidates must have at least 3 months of recent oil change experience at a retail automotive business and their own complete set of tools, including impact tools.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, and related services.
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replenish or replace as necessary.
• Perform Missouri State inspection and emissions tests.
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Maintain and replace vehicle tires and batteries.
• Perform wheel rotations and balancing.
• Coordinate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
• Operate all tools and equipment safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 3 months of recent oil change experience at a retail automotive business.
• Current Missouri State Inspection and Emissions license.
• Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions within the last 3 years (DUI/DWI).
• Willingness to take a pre-employment drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
• Own complete set of tools, including impact tools.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5 pm.
