Job summary

Mountain States Toyota, part of the Sonic Automotive family, seeks a Lube Technician to perform routine maintenance and inspections while upholding quality workmanship and safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to develop skills within a large automotive network and grow professionally.

Responsibilities include oil changes, inspections, and ensuring customer vehicles are well-maintained and clean during service.

Qualifications

• ASE / Trade School certifications preferred.
• Previous automotive service, or lube technician experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and other routine maintenance services.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report required repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep customer vehicles clean during service.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment, tools, and vehicle lifts safely.
• Follow repair orders and complete services efficiently while meeting standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and report accidents or hazards immediately.

Summary

The Lube Technician performs routine maintenance services and vehicle inspections while ensuring quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and compliance with dealership safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and other routine maintenance services.
• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report recommended repair or maintenance needs to the Service Advisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure customer vehicles are kept clean during service.
• Operate and maintain shop equipment, tools, and vehicle lifts in a safe manner.
• Follow repair orders accurately and complete services efficiently while meeting dealership standards.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and immediately report accidents, hazards, or equipment concerns.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Additional Information

Compensation

• $25.00 to $27.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
