Job summary

Grease-Monkey is seeking a dependable Key Holder to open/close the service center, supervise daily operations, and deliver friendly, efficient service. The role requires basic automotive knowledge and leadership potential.

You will oversee daily tasks, assist with oil changes and vehicle checks, manage deposits, and ensure safety and cleanliness across bays and customer areas, while mentoring new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in service or retail; automotive experience a plus.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented with strong work ethic.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexible availability including weekends.
• Must pass background check; 18+ with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Unlock and secure the location at the beginning and end of shifts.
• In the absence of the Center Manager is responsible for daily deposits to bank and securing the location safe.
• Ensure the security of cash from the register drawer and closure of the store safe, in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist in leading the team during daily operations and ensuring workflow efficiency.
• Perform and oversee oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and other minor vehicle services.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and report needs to Center Manager.
• Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the service bays and customer areas.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve basic issues or complaints.
• Escalate unresolved matters of safety, store security or team member behaviors to District Manager, if necessary.
• Train and mentor new employees.
