Job summary

Main Street Auto is seeking a Lube Technician to service customer vehicles in a garage environment. You will perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire related tasks, and input maintenance data into our computer system. You will explain services to customers and handle payments with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires reading and writing English, with prior automotive experience helpful. Training will be provided for the Lube Technician role, and safety and cleanliness standards

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Complete the Lube Technician training course.
• Previous automotive experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, airing tires; input customer and maintenance information into computer; explain service to customers and accept payment for services.
• Input customer and maintenance information into computer.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service; explain service provided, recommend services and answer questions.
• Accept payment for services.
• Maintain clean facilities (work area, grounds, restrooms, customer area, etc.) including sweeping, mopping and emptying trash.
• Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
