Job summary

Super Star Car Wash in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Lube Technician to evaluate, suggest and complete lubrication services while anticipating customer needs and building relationships. Safety guidelines must be followed and upselling skills are essential.

Responsibilities include oil changes, topping off fluids, inspecting vehicles, and assisting customers to enhance their experience in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Technical automotive training preferred.

• Drain and change oil in vehicles following all safe-handling procedures to correctly dispose of used motor oil.
• Top off fluids in vehicle engines, including transmission and windshield washer fluid. Assist customers with requests to enhance their experience.
• Inspect vehicles to determine maintenance and repair needs and replace different types of filters.
• Follow safety protocols for working in the repair shop and driving vehicles.
• Fill out work order forms as tasks are completed and communicate all areas with customer.

What The Role Is

The Lube Technician has overall responsibility for evaluating, suggesting and completing lubrication services. Must have the ability to anticipate customer needs, build relationships and ensure safety guidelines. Strong upselling skills for maximizing sales, ability to multi-task and adjust to the workings of a transitional weather environment.

Pay Transparency

Base Pay

The hourly rate will range from $16 to $18 per hour. The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on relevant experience.
