Job summary

Sonic Automotive, Cadillac of South Charlotte in Pineville, NC, is seeking an Automotive Lube Technician. The role involves lubricating vehicles, coordinating with the Production Foreman, and delivering thorough service in a fast-paced shop environment.

The position is full-time with Sundays off, 401k with company match, PTO accrual, and employee discounts. Requires prior apprentice/assistant experience and a valid driver’s license. Compensation is hourly with potential bonuses after six months.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and other verifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Inspect battery, lights, tires and refer needed repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair orders and service lifts.
• Lubricate the entire car and identify other repair needs.
• Keep the customer car clean.
• Ensure lifts and equipment are in proper working order.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents.
• Demonstrate knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
