Job summary

Town & Country Ford in Charlotte, NC, part of the Sonic Automotive family, seeks an Automotive Lube Technician to perform lubrication services and support the production team. The role involves inspecting vehicles, operating lubrication equipment, and ensuring safety while maintaining a clean work area.

You must have a valid driver’s license and at least two years of dealer-side experience; be authorized to work in the USA; and be willing to pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice in an automobile dealership.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Perform all lubrication services.
• Check the customer’s car (battery, lights, tires) and refer repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Operate and maintain lubrication equipment.
• Receive repair orders and service on the lift.
• Lubricate the entire car and identify additional needed repairs.
• Keep the customer’s car clean.
• Ensure all equipment, especially lifts, is in proper working order.
• Use appropriate amounts of materials and supplies.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents.
