Take 5 Oil Change in Southport, NC is hiring a Lube Technician for full-time work in a busy automotive service environment. You will learn to perform oil changes, tire checks, and light maintenance with a stay-in-your-car experience for customers.

We train you to perform services and provide friendly customer interaction. Benefits and time off are included, with opportunities to grow into management tracks.

Qualifications

• Need to provide friendly customer service and explain services clearly.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings.
• Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off fluids.
• Assist the customer in selecting oil type and other services.
• Deliver excellent customer service both verbally and written.
• Process payment for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and fill services.
• Restock and maintain inventory on the floor.
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness.

• It might feel like you are studying for a test at the beginning. It’s important that all employees gain a strong knowledge of our oils and services.
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars
• You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
• You may need to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to communicate with the public
• Need to have reliable transportation
