Job summary

The Durban Group's Take 5 Oil Change in Roanoke Rapids, NC is hiring a Lube Technician to join our in-person team. You’ll learn oil changes, replace wiper blades, fill tires, and perform light maintenance while delivering friendly, customer-focused service.

This full-time role offers flexible shifts with weekends as needed and benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and a 401(k). You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn oil change procedures and basic maintenance in a fast-paced shop.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver in a shop environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings.
• Wash windshield and adjust tire pressure.
• Inspect and top off fluids and assist customers in selecting services.
• Deliver excellent customer service both verbally and in writing.
• Process payments for services performed.
• Perform coolant exchanges and other light maintenance tasks.
• Restock and maintain inventory, keep shop and facilities clean.

Responsibilities

What does a Lube Technician do?

• Drain motor oil, change oil filter, grease chassis fittings

• It might feel like you are studying for a test at the beginning. It’s important that all employees gain a strong knowledge of our oils and services.
• Must maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit used to position yourself safely under cars
• You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
• You may need to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to communicate with the public
• Need to have reliable transportation
