Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Lube/Utility Technician to support maintenance by performing daily lubrication inspections and preventive maintenance on all site equipment and the processing line. This role also requires careful documentation and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or related training, and a valid Class C license. The position includes overtime as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED with 1 year of heavy truck equipment maintenance/repair experience or technical training.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Follow OSHA rules and maintain professional conduct.
• Must read and understand service/technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fluid and lubrication inspections on all equipment.
• Carry out lubrication services for site equipment and processing line.
• Inspect stationary equipment, grinders, screens, and CASP.
• Check and top off fluid levels, grease, and clean for next shift.
• Inspect rollers, augers, bearings, and belt tension.
• Complete paperwork in the work order system.
• Analyze oil analysis results and suggest maintenance actions.
• Troubleshoot lubrication-related equipment issues.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary The Lube/Utility Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager. The Lube/Utility Technician is personally responsible for providing proper fluid level checks, lube, greasing, and cleaning of vehicles and parts, in addition to performing preventative maintenance on all stationary equipment and the processing line.

Job Description

• Responsible for daily fluid & lubrication inspection on all equipment
• Performs daily fluid & lubrication services all site equipment
• Performs daily inspections for all stationary equipment (grinders and screens), the processing line and the CASP.
• Checks the fluid levels topping off as needed, greasing, and cleaning preparing for next shift.
• Check rollers, augers, bearings and belt tension
• Complete all appropriate paperwork within our computerized work order guidelines
• Performs basic evaluation of oil analysis results and recommends current and future maintenance actions.
• Troubleshoot common lubrication-related procedural and equipment problems
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED 1 year experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance & repair or equitable trade school and/or technical certifications.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts as needed.
• Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
• Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• Acceptable Driver's Record.
• Must possess personal tools.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to unprotected heights occasionally.
