Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Lube Technician plays an important role in maintaining our fleet of trucks and construction equipment to ensure safe operation. This position is responsible for fueling, lubricating, and maintaining heavy equipment.

Essential Functions

1. Effectively fuel, lubricate and service all levels of mobile light and heavy equipment.
2. Perform routine inspection and periodic maintenance on mobile heavy equipment.
3. Notify Mechanics and/or Plant Manager of any maintenance or repairs needed.
4. Maintain multiple layers of recordkeeping.
5. Maintain constant awareness of safety, efficiency, and display flexibility and out-of-the-box thinking with the capability to solve problems.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
2. 1-2 years’ experience with preventive maintenance and lube repair desired.
3. Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment.
4. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently, and be able to crawl, climb, bend, and stand for long periods.
5. Ability to read, understand, and follow safety policies and procedures.
6. Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
7. Must have a current driver license.
8. Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card certification.

Work Environment

1. Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
2. Work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
3. Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and machinery.

Physical Capabilities

1. Physical demands include walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
