Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Lube Technician in Rosedale, MD to maintain and repair engine-driven welding equipment and generators, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. You will work under the Branch Manager, focus on safety, and contribute to reliable equipment operation.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma, 0–1 years of related technical experience, and a valid driver's license. Airgas offers comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-1 years of related technical experience; we welcome those early in their career or transitioning from similar fields.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License is required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Restore, optimize, and ensure the reliability of engine driven welding equipment and generators while fostering a safe and supportive working environment.
  • Repairs and refurbishes all Electric and Engine Drives.
  • Assembles electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental. Tests and calibrates machines to ensure they are ready to serve our customers.
  • Repaints parts, touches up paint, and applies decals to welders to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Replaces defective parts and completes essential preventative maintenance.
  • Orders parts as required to ensure the team can complete repairs efficiently.
  • Inspects returned equipment to ensure proper operation and identify any necessary care.
  • Occasionally provides on-site service to support our equipment and customers.

Airgas is Hiring for a Equipment Repair Technician in Baltimore MD!

We are looking for you! Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Equipment repair and maintenance training is an asset

Hourly pay is $27-31 per Hour

  • Reporting to and collaborating with the Branch Manager, you will restore, optimize, and ensure the reliability of engine driven welding equipment and generators while fostering a safe and supportive working environment.
  • Contributes to a culture of safety by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc's health and safety guidelines.
  • Repairs and refurbishes all Electric and Engine Drives.

  • Operates a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to organize required parts in the shop.
  • Fosters a clean and organized work environment for the benefit of the whole team.
  • Prepares and completes documentation for all machine repairs.
  • Occasionally provides on-site service to support our equipment and customers.
  • Maintains open communication with all branch personnel.
  • Occasionally shares expertise with customers regarding the most effective equipment for their projects.
  • Performs field work as needed to support business goals.
  • Performs other related duties as a collaborative team member.
Required
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-1 years of related technical experience; we welcome those early in their career or transitioning from similar fields.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License is required for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a one-year technical college or similar background is a valued asset.
  • A working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment.
  • Thoroughness and care in technical tasks, paired with solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive with trusted autonomy while staying connected to team goals.
