Job summary

Transwest, Inc. is seeking a Lube Technician to join our Colorado service team. Primary duties include fluid checks and basic maintenance to keep vehicles operating at peak performance.

Responsibilities include oil changes, fluid level checks, recording service details, and coordinating with the parts department. The role offers a fast-paced dealership environment with growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and clean MVR required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing passenger automobiles preferred.
• Motivated, able to work independently.
• Familiarity with gas and diesel truck repair including engine/transmission diagnostics.
• Must have hand tools with rollaway toolbox.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail important.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and interact professionally.
• Perform oil changes and fluid level checks.
• Check transmission fluid and other fluids.
• Inspect belts, filters, air levels, gauges.
• Rotate tires and document work.
• Accurately summarize repairs for warranty/records.
• Collaborate with parts dept for parts needs.
• Communicate with service manager and adjust orders as needed.
• Road test vehicles for quality assessment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet and interact with customersChange vehicle oilCheck transmission fluid and other fluid levelsInspect various belts, filters, air levels, and gaugesRotate tiresWrite service reports and receipts for work completedKeep abreast of factory technical bulletinsPerform all work with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsDiagnose and repair vehicle malfunctionsCross-collaborate with the parts department to obtain necessary partsSave and tag warranty partsRegularly communicate with the shop foreman and provide an educated recommendation if a repair order needs to be adjustedAccurately summarize repairs and technician storiesRecord accurate time punchesRoad test vehicles as needed for quality assessmentEnsure customer vehicle cleanlinessMaintain neat and orderly work areaTreat dealership owned tools with respect and careUnderstand and uphold federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous wastePerform job duties and functions with flexibility in the event of: shift changes, emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developmentsAdditional duties as assigned by the manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES
