Greet and interact with customersChange vehicle oilCheck transmission fluid and other fluid levelsInspect various belts, filters, air levels, and gaugesRotate tiresWrite service reports and receipts for work completedKeep abreast of factory technical bulletinsPerform all work with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standardsDiagnose and repair vehicle malfunctionsCross-collaborate with the parts department to obtain necessary partsSave and tag warranty partsRegularly communicate with the shop foreman and provide an educated recommendation if a repair order needs to be adjustedAccurately summarize repairs and technician storiesRecord accurate time punchesRoad test vehicles as needed for quality assessmentEnsure customer vehicle cleanlinessMaintain neat and orderly work areaTreat dealership owned tools with respect and careUnderstand and uphold federal, state and local regulations governing the disposal of hazardous wastePerform job duties and functions with flexibility in the event of: shift changes, emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developmentsAdditional duties as assigned by the manager
Required to perform work inside and outside, at the branch locationActivities require a full range of motion including handling, lifting, manual dexterity, finger dexterity and eye-hand coordinationPosition requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of timePosition requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 poundsPosition requires corrected vision and hearing within normal rangeMust be able to operate simple, complex and heavy-duty machinery
High school diploma or equivalentValid Driver's License and MVR in good standingExperience diagnosing and repairing passenger automobilesMotivated individual who can work independentlyFamiliarity with all aspects of gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance including engine repair, transmission repair, drivability and electrical diagnostics, suspension, brake systems, etcMust possess a complete set of hand tools with rollaway toolboxExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to display attention to detailAbility to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment, pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen
