Automotive Technician

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (equivalent education/experience considered)
• 1 to 3 months of relevant experience and/or training preferred
• Operator Driver’s License
• State Inspection License
• Strong skills and work ethic

Responsibilities:

• Examine and diagnose vehicles
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
• Provide labor estimates and communicate additional service requests
• Plan work with the shop foreman
• Monitor repair times and update the service advisor
• Maintain adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care
• Mentor technician trainees
• Attend training and stay current with factory technical bulletins
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste disposal)
